Board ratifies childcare workers agreement, creates Multi-Tiered Support Supervisor role, approves hires

The Saginaw Township Board of Education on Aug. 11 ratified a tentative 2025–2027 agreement with the Saginaw Township Community Schools Childcare Workers Association. The motion to ratify the agreement was offered by Arik Smith and adopted unanimously in roll-call vote.
The board also approved the creation of a full-time Multi-Tiered Support Supervisor position for the 2025–2026 school year on a motion by David Booth. In personnel votes the board approved conditional appointments for three certificated staff: Kayla Boylen (Heritage High School, teacher), Jill White (White Pine Middle School, teacher), and John Bublitz (Network Administrator, central office). Each appointment was recorded as conditional pending verification of required information.
Additionally, the board approved the Mackinaw High School Student Handbook for 2025–2026. All human-resources items were adopted by roll-call vote with all members voting yes.
