At the June 16 meeting the Lorain County Board of Commissioners approved a package of appropriations, requisitions and vendor payments covering routine county operations and capital needs.
Key actions included Resolution No. 26‑345 authorizing a $1,200,000 transfer from the Clerk of Court Certificate of Title account to the general fund; a $499,090.55 appropriation for Airport Main Apron Phase 3 (noted as 95% reimbursable from ODOT); and a $25,500 appropriation for facilities equipment funded as the county share of a Bureau of Workers grant. The board also adopted Resolution No. 26‑347 authorizing purchases across departments — notable items were a $333,856.47 reimbursement to Job & Family Services, a $49,950 densifier for Solid Waste, and multi‑year service renewals. Resolution No. 26‑349 authorized payment of listed county bills, with general fund vendor payments totaling $53,053.19 and program‑specific payments (for example, BCMH treatment payments totaling $101,785.75).
Commissioners moved and seconded the motions and approved the items by unanimous vote. Discussion during the meeting included staff confirmation that Facilities applied for and received a Bureau of Workers grant toward the boom lift purchase; the county's share was recorded in requisitions.
