Laura Roelike presented the proposed 2026'1027 district calendar and highlighted key dates. Roelike said, "The first day of school would be prior to Labor Day Sept 2nd, 2026." She explained that entrance conferences on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 would count as student contact days, a change from past practice.
The proposed calendar also lists graduation on May 28, 2026. The presentation was informational; the board did not take a formal vote during the work session. Follow-up discussions are scheduled during the community feedback meeting on Feb. 4 where the calendar and other recommendations will be shared.
