Grand County EMS to switch billing service to Solutions Group Services

Grand County commissioners voted to approve an agreement with Solutions Group Services to handle ambulance revenue cycle management, Chief Wingate told the board March 11. Wingate said the vendor will allow the county to better reconcile insurance accounts and exhaust third-party payers before billing patients.
"There's no minimum services requirement. There's no subscription fee. It's only billed for what we use," Chief Wingate said, adding that the vendor's principal, Asbel Montes, has 30 years of EMS experience. Commissioner 2 moved to approve the contract and authorized the chair to sign all applicable documents electronically.
The board approved the motion unanimously. The contract, HIPAA agreement and proprietary service information are expected to be routed for signature via DocuSign.
