The School Board of Albany Area Schools, ISD 745, adopted a resolution accepting multiple donations to district programs and activities. "The School Board of Albany Area Schools, ISD 745, gratefully accepts the following donations as identified below," the minutes record. Donors and amounts listed included: Albany-Avon Soccer Club — $5,000 for Boys Soccer; an anonymous donor — $10,787.79 to the drama department; Albany Jaycee’s — $3,000 for NHS Easter Egg Hunt and $1,500 for streaming services programs; Magnifi Financial — $300 for Comm Ed; St. Cloud Optimist Club — $1,500 for scholarships; and several smaller gifts for scholarships, athletics and club programs.
The resolution accepting the donations was introduced by Member Rueter, seconded by Member Ronning, and recorded as passed by all present. The board declared the resolution duly passed and adopted, enabling the district to apply the funds to the designated purposes recorded in the minutes.
