The amendments require an individual seeking a life-essential item from a state impound lot to show evidence of statutory authorization, permit access to a vehicle to obtain identification for that purpose, and add visibility, lighting, fencing, weed-height, and response-time requirements for lots managing multiple storage areas.
The minutes note the change was made "in response to requests from the Utah Towing Association" and that the amendment also rewrites existing language to resolve drafting issues. Chair Valentine took a roll-call vote and the motion passed unanimously.
