Maintenance & Zoning Supervisor Rich Schreiber told the board that directional road signs at West Wilson Creek will be replaced, the City of New Bern has begun repainting fire hydrants in Trent Woods, and the Wilson Creek Bridge rebuild has been pushed to Spring 2028. Gutters were installed at Town Hall to reduce runoff, and Phase V of pedestrian sidewalk engineering plans is expected to be ready by the end of October.
Schreiber asked for permission to surplus one non-working mower; Commissioner Billy Joiner moved to authorize the sale, Commissioner M. Shane Turney seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The board also suggested accepting Charles Hughes' bid for repair work at 214 Trent Woods Drive.
