The Town of Trent Woods held a public hearing and adopted an ordinance on Oct. 6, 2025 to amend the town code for residential sign regulations. Town Attorney Aaron Arnette reviewed the changes for commissioners; after public questions the hearing was closed and the Board voted unanimously to adopt the ordinance.
Homeowner Mark Keane questioned why some business-related signs remained in the right-of-way. Mayor Charles F. Tyson, Jr. responded that staff are instructed to remove signs left in the right-of-way and asked Maintenance Supervisor Rich Schreiber to be diligent in picking them up when they become a nuisance, adding that they should be removed "within a reasonable time." Commissioner Dan Murphy moved to adopt the ordinance; Commissioner M. Shane Turney seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
