At the start of public comment, Alexa Alemano introduced herself as a Langley business owner and property owner and urged city staff and council to support the Harbour Hopper pilot. Alemano said the Harbour Hopper will depart Langley at 9 p.m. on Thursday sailings beginning July 9 and urged the city to ensure public-restroom availability during those later hours.
Alemano encouraged retailers to stay open later, suggested pop-up retail and busking in designated spots (with reasonable time limits), and proposed restaurants and bars program live music or trivia nights on Thursdays to capitalize on visitors. She thanked staff for recent parking-direction work and described the pilot as an opportunity for local businesses to showcase the town.
