The administration recommended dropping the Atlas curriculum-management system, describing prior use as costly and unsuccessful, and proposed building an in-house system using Google tools. The transcript says the district used Atlas years ago, it "did not go well and is costly," and that other schools have implemented Google-based solutions. Justin Trompka was named to lead the project.
Committee members agreed the project will be large and take time but that an in-house Google-based system could be a better long-term solution for housing curriculum information. The committee endorsed the recommendation and staff will develop a phased plan for implementation and report back to the committee and Board.
