Two formal actions were recorded at the Farmington Board of Education special meeting on Aug. 12, 2025.
First, Treasurer Claudia T. Heinrich moved and Trustee Angie F. Smith supported approval of the special meeting agenda. A voice vote recorded ayes from Blau, Heinrich, Hull, Recinto, Smith and Weems and the motion was unanimously approved.
Second, Heinrich moved and Smith supported a motion that the board convene in closed session pursuant to Section 8(c) (Negotiation of a Collective Bargaining Agreement) of the Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976. A roll call vote recorded six ayes (Blau, Heinrich, Hull, Recinto, Smith, Weems) with Donald Walker Jr. absent; the motion passed 6-0. The board moved into closed session at 5:03 p.m. and returned at 5:52 p.m.
