Mayor Sonya A. Brown invoked Texas Government Code §551.074 and the council voted to convene into executive session to seek legal advice; the body entered an executive session at 7:26 p.m. and reconvened at 7:39 p.m. with no action taken but with council reserving the right to place the matter on a future agenda. Later in the meeting council debated removing item C from the executive session but a motion to remove it failed on a recorded vote. Council then voted again to enter executive session at 8:21 p.m.; they reconvened at 9:45 p.m. and reported that no action was taken in open session.
