Killdeer awards $1.856 million HWBL street improvements contract to Central Specialties

The Killdeer City Commission voted July 6 to issue a Notice of Award to Central Specialties Inc. for $1,856,441.33 for the 2026 HWBL Street Improvements Project. City Engineer Kenzie Robertson presented the bids and recommended Central Specialties as the lowest responsible bidder.
Bids presented at the meeting were: Baranko Brothers Inc. — $1,919,510.23; Central Specialties Inc. — $1,856,441.33; Wagner Construction — $2,435,809.90; Strata Corporation — $2,387,973.24; BEK Consulting — $2,540,566.00; US Sitework Inc. — $1,975,233.00. The Engineer's estimate was $2,461,343.58. Commissioner Fenstermaker moved to give Notice of Award to Central Specialties; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Fair and passed on a roll call vote.
