Administrators and students brought forward recommendations about graduation regalia during the principal update. Following student and advisor input, the Board agreed students could wear both a Barker tassel and a BOCES tassel if they chose; for BOCES recognition the Board decided the district would not provide a BOCES cord but would allow the BOCES-issued cord if applicable.
Trustees and students also discussed criteria for awarding the blue extracurricular cord; students requested criteria that limited the award to grades 9–12 and required participation in at least one extracurricular or athletic group each year of high school. The Board supported that recommendation. On graduation robes, Dr. Love was asked to investigate options such as a single robe color with sash accents and the possibility of district-purchased robes (which could be collected after the ceremony) to reduce family costs. Mrs. Gancasz suggested exploring the idea as a senior project or fundraiser.
