City highlights upcoming State of the City, annual cook-off and student winners

Clint Woodward, president and CEO of the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce, presented details about the Glen Heights County Line Cook Off scheduled for March 27'8, inviting council participation and noting the event is state-recognized for competition points. The council also named elementary and secondary winners of its Black History Month essay contest and presented tickets to a downtown festival to the students.
The meeting included brief staff introductions for new hires in the fire department and planning and development services.
