Sherry Roberts, Glenn Heights finance director, presented the city’s November 2025 financial reports and answered council questions about reserves and reporting formats.
"At the end of November, I showed we had 281 days in reserve," Roberts said while reviewing water and sewer fund balances — well above the city’s 45‑day target for that enterprise. She also noted that property‑tax revenue will increase after December deposits and that seasonal patterns affect the water and sewer revenue picture.
Roberts said she issued an RFQ for investment advisory services to seek professional help in improving net interest earnings on the city’s cash balances. Council members asked Roberts to include a 12‑month trailing view of balances and clear breakout slides showing assigned/unassigned funds to make monthly comparisons easier.
The council did not take formal action on the financial reports; Roberts said auditors will be on site in the coming weeks and she will provide requested additional slides and clarifications.
