The Claymont City School District Board of Education approved several treasurer-recommended items on March 9, including the February 2026 financial report, payment of bills and minutes from prior meetings. The board also approved two resolutions related to the Ohio School Boards Association Legal Assistance Fund.
The board certified levy amounts and rates as determined by the Tuscarawas County Budget Commission. The levies listed in the minutes were: Permanent Improvement — 4.2 mills estimated at $1,241,000; Current Expense (General) — 20.5 mills estimated at $5,300,000; Permanent Improvement — 2.0 mills estimated at $476,000; and Current Expense (General) — 3.0 mills estimated at $783,000. The motions were approved on a roll call vote with all members recorded as voting yes.
Treasurer Kim Beckley delivered a February financial presentation earlier in the meeting. The board did not amend the amounts in the minutes; certification will be sent to the Tuscarawas County Auditor per the motion recorded at the meeting.
