Middleton delays completion, approves architecture amendments and change order for Municipal Complex

The Board approved four Context Architecture amendments — Amendment 20 ($26,155), Amendment 29 ($39,200), Amendment 31 ($18,000), Amendment 33 ($5,000) — and W.T. Rich Change Order 18 ($133,413). The amendments cover additional construction-administration support, two months of additional services, interior punch-list work, and a post-occupancy furniture order. The Board requested additional information before the vote but later approved the items unanimously.
Select Board members emphasized maintaining natural areas on campus (retention-basin swaths) and noted the contractor is responsible for on-site maintenance while working. The approvals authorize additional payments associated with final construction administration and a specific construction change order.
