The Board approved a resolution authorizing the district to use Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) negotiated by the RIC Risk Operations Center (ROC) and its attorneys for the 2026–27 fiscal year, consistent with Ed Law 2‑d and Part 121 regulations governing student personally identifiable information (PII) and certain teacher/principal APPR data.
The resolution states the ROC partners with NYSED, the SDPC and TEC to negotiate Ed Law 2‑d–compliant DPAs and makes clear the district reserves the right to review DPAs with its own legal counsel and make determinations about the software and resources to which they relate. The motion carried 6–0.
Board members were told the ROC-negotiated DPAs do not require additional district funds beyond budgeted amounts and are presented for final execution after local review.
