Superintendent Dr. Reimer told the board that the district released bids for the $14 million 2025 capital improvement project after NYSED approval and set a new bid opening date of April 28. The board will need to meet to approve bids once they are received and a kickoff meeting will follow approval.
Dr. Reimer also said bids are expected soon for the Yorker House demolition and, pending receipt and approval, demolition could occur in June. He said the lot would be filled and the district plans to install a commemorative sign noting the historic significance of the site.
Administrators emphasized flexibility in scheduling and that early construction work is expected to begin in the 1911 building to prepare for the start of the school year, subject to bid results and contractor timelines.
