The commission discussed a series of community events for 2026. Matt Gallagher relayed details about the Maple Sugar House Visits scheduled for March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. He described collaboration requests asking FVRC to share event information through its digital channels. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Kellogg, and Falls Village Community Earth Day is set for April 18; the commission will arrange trash pickup and meet at the library to assign locations.
A Maple Sugar Community Party is planned for April 25 (time to be announced). A spearheading team for that event includes Matt Gallagher (FVRC), Jody Bronson (GMF), and Bill Beebee and Judy Jacobs (Historical Society). Gallagher requested that the FVRC consider supporting event costs; members agreed to review available funds and discuss potential financial support at a future meeting.
