Falls Village Rec. Commission adds pool registration, revises event descriptions and removes finance item from agenda

The Falls Village Recreation Commission convened on March 11, 2026, and Chair Melissa Lopes opened the meeting at 6:40 p.m. Lopes proposed three amendments to the agenda: to add an application for swimming pool registration, to remove the Finance/Budget subcommittee item, and to change wording for the community Easter egg hunt and Falls Village Community Earth Day entries. Each motion was seconded and passed by unanimous vote.
Commissioners present at the roll call were Melissa Lopes (Chairperson), Dan Carr (Commissioner), Matt Gallagher (Commissioner), Chris Wadsworth (Commissioner) and Catherine Wales (Commissioner); Lauren Killawee was absent. The added pool registration item later led to a separate funding motion to pay pool registration and inspection fees to the Torrington Area Health District.
