Commission appoints members to zoning and subdivision rewrite advisory committee

Charles Town staff told the commission that city council created an advisory committee to rewrite the zoning ordinance and subdivision and land development (SALDO) standards. Staff estimated the effort would run 12–16 months and include working-group sessions and public meetings. Commissioners Kevin Long and another member volunteered; the commission made appointments to send representatives to the advisory committee (a motion to appoint Anne Vanessa and Kevin Long passed). The commission will receive periodic updates and the consultant will coordinate public outreach as the revision progresses.
The commission adjourned following the appointments.
