The board approved use of Claymont City school buses for YMCA summer programming and rental of three buses for the Dennison Depot, with all costs to be charged to the renting organizations. The board also approved availability of buses for emergency‑evacuation train rides on specified dates (June 20; Sept. 19–20; Oct. 17–18), and authorized external rentals with user charges covering costs.
Separately, the board approved a contract with Wood Electric for fire‑alarm system upgrades at Claymont High School, to be paid from Permanent Improvement Funds. Those facilities and transportation approvals were included in superintendent recommendations and passed on roll call.
