Commissioners approve $778,444.55 in vouchers including EMS Station payments and vehicle purchases

Alina Bell, Grand County accounting manager, told the board the voucher batch presented this week totaled $778,444.55 and included $209,000 earmarked for EMS Station 1 — among which $125,392.72 was due to D2C Architects.
“This week's batch of vouchers is $778,444.55,” Bell said, walking commissioners through the package and citing payments to architects, electricians and a construction contractor tied to the station project. The packet also included $324,951 for six Chevrolet Tahoes for the sheriff’s department and an approximately $45,000 monthly credit‑card bill.
Commissioner (mover) moved to approve the vouchers and wire payments for Wednesday, April 23, 2025, covering Grand County general obligations, the Department of Human Services and vouchers for the Grand County Housing Authority. The motion carried on a voice vote.
The board directed staff to release the approved payments on the stated payment date. Accounting noted one contract amendment and several department reimbursements were included in the package and that staff would circulate final documentation to the clerk’s office for signatures.
