Harrison council adopts updated fee schedule after brief public hearing

The Harrison City Council voted on Nov. 11, 2025, to adopt an updated city fee schedule that brings in new fee items and permits proposed increases exceeding 5 percent. The public hearing was opened and closed during the meeting; Councilmember Joe Cornell moved to adopt the schedule and Councilmember Josephine Prophet seconded. The motion passed with John Gray, Joe Cornell, Josephine Prophet and Will Butler recorded as AYE.
During the hearing, resident Russell Riberich asked whether materials for the public hearing were available. "The notice specified materials would be available at City Hall," the Clerk/Treasurer said in response, noting the notice had been published twice in the Gazette Record. Councilmember Josephine Prophet presented the fees developed by the Administration Committee before the council voted to adopt them.
