President Randy Boyd told the commission the University of Tennessee requests approval to proceed with selecting a designer, using a best-value alternative method, for a campus ice-storage HVAC system at Knoxville. "This project will create an HVAC system that uses ice storage technology to serve multiple campus buildings," he said.
The commission received the presentation, a motion to approve was made and seconded, and the project-selection step was adopted by voice vote. No dissent was recorded; staff will proceed with the designer selection process under the approved delivery method.
