City Manager Fredda O. Wheeler told commissioners that an environmental assessment for City Hall has been completed and that the city has issued RFPs for remediation and remodeling. "We sent out RFP for remediation and remodeling at City Hall," Wheeler said; one contractor has completed a site visit and the city is waiting on at least one more bid.
Wheeler said 4–5 HVAC contractors have inspected the building to assess duct cleaning and that staff have asked the consultant who helped with the assessment whether portions of the work can be subcontracted if contractor responses are limited. Commissioners discussed flooring options and agreed to include Police Department remediation and relocation planning in a future work session.
