City Manager Fredda O. Wheeler told commissioners that a professional environmentalist completed an inspection of City Hall and contractors carried out remediation work identified in that report. Wheeler said she has solicited quotations from multiple contractors and so far has received two bids; she is waiting on approximately six more before making details public.
Wheeler said the remediation scope will include a total duct cleaning of the building's HVAC system and that she will continue to update commissioners as additional quotes arrive. "Part of the remediation will be a total duct cleaning of our whole system," Wheeler said. Staff did not vote on remediation at the work session; Wheeler will return with full bid details for public review when the procurement process is further along.
