District reviews contracted bus drivers and vehicle list; administration says vendors recruited over summer

"Obviously our main buses are ROAR services," the chair said while explaining the mix of big buses and vans used for special-needs routes and private/parochial transport. A committee member asked whether vendors have enough drivers for all routes; administration replied that it had not heard of any double routes and that providers had advertised heavily over the summer.
The board indicated the transportation materials will be approved at the full board meeting; no vote occurred at the committee. Administration confirmed background screenings and required training are documented and subject to state audit.
