Wanda Irish sworn in as mayor; Josephine Prophet elected council president over Gray's dissent

At the Jan. 13 meeting City Clerk/Treasurer Miriah Pfeiffer administered the oath of office to Wanda Irish, who was sworn in as mayor. Miriah Pfeiffer also swore in council members Josephine Prophet and Kelly Kilian as part of the new-business agenda.
Following the swearing-in, council members voted on a nomination for council president. Will Butler nominated Josephine Prophet and Kelly Kilian seconded; the motion passed with John Gray recorded as the sole dissenting vote. The minutes do not record additional debate on the leadership vote.
