Midvale council adopts FY2026 operating and capital budgets, multiple funds balanced

The Midvale City Council approved Resolution No. 2025-R-47 on Aug. 19 to adopt the final operating and capital budgets for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. Administrative Services Director Mariah Hill reviewed the statutory steps required under UCA 10-6-111 and presented fund-by-fund revenues and expenditures included in the resolution.
Hill listed key fund figures included in the resolution: General Fund revenues and expenditures of $27,171,559; Public Safety $14,631,536; Capital Projects $32,198,200; Water revenues $8,519,391 and expenditures $7,944,110; Sewer $4,351,256 revenues and $3,959,301 expenditures; and other enterprise and internal service funds. Council Member Bryant Brown moved to approve the resolution; Council Member Heidi Robinson seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Council members and staff said the budget followed required public hearings (May 6 and June 3, 2025) and that detailed budgets are available on the city website. No amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
