Resident asks council to investigate low water flow on 450 North

Chad DeVries (308 E 450 N) told the council he has chased a low-flow problem at his house for seven years and reported that his meter appears to be a 0.625-inch size while city standards call for 0.75- or 1-inch meters. He said he collected signatures from about 10 neighbors and asked public works to inspect meters and lines in the neighborhood.
Mayor and staff explained that flow is constrained by the diameter of the line from the meter to the house and said public works had already measured pressure at a nearby hydrant. The council directed public works to compare hydrant readings with on-site measurements, invite Mr. DeVries to view the readings and take a broader look at the zone's pipe sizes and flow restrictions.
