Chief Business Officer Christie Landingham told trustees the First Interim overview reflected both the state's adopted budget and uncertainties that could affect district planning. She identified temporary one-time funds proposed for literacy initiatives, professional development, cafeteria equipment and learning recovery, and discussed the district's unduplicated pupil count and projected expenditures.
Landingham also informed the board about a lawsuit filed against the State of California challenging the current K'12 school facilities funding system and said staff are planning around possible future reductions tied to COLA and statewide budget outcomes. The board approved the First Interim Report later in the meeting.
