The Los Molinos Unified School District board voted Dec. 18 to approve the First Interim financial report and to certify, under Assembly Bill 1200, that the district can meet its 2025–26 financial obligations. The motion to approve was made by Melissa Peters and seconded by Lidia Mekhail and recorded as passing 6-0; Trustee Chuck Crossland was absent.
Chief Business Officer Christie Landingham had presented the budget overview earlier in the meeting, describing General Fund revenue forecasts, unduplicated pupil count considerations and contingency planning tied to potential state budget changes and COLA projections. The board's approval satisfies the statutory interim reporting requirement for the district to continue regular operations.
