Mission Viejo honors Saddleback Valley Pop Warner champions and Rotary Club service

Julie McRhee, league president, and Coach Dave Cole accepted recognition for the football team and described a multi-year coaching effort that culminated in a national championship. "Just, boy, what a great group of young men we were able to coach," Coach Cole said, reflecting on a multi-year effort and the team's culture. Coaches and players posed for photos and the council praised the volunteer effort behind youth sports.
Rotary president Laval Brewer described the club's local and global service projects and invoked the group's motto, "Service above self," and the four‑way test the organization uses to guide projects. Councilmembers noted the Rotary's longstanding record of scholarship awards, food‑security efforts and other community programs.
