South Burlington staff announce new online permit portal

South Burlington staff told the Development Review Board on April 21 that the city has launched a new online permit portal that will be the required way to submit permit applications.
"So we now have software that all our permits have to be submitted through," a South Burlington staff member said, adding that planning and zoning have recently moved onto the platform after the fire department adopted online submissions earlier. Staff said the system is intended to replace spreadsheet- and email-based application tracking and to improve organization of materials for reviewers.
