MPMS provides ECP calculation workspace, CSV export and validation checks for issuers

CMS staff demonstrated the ECP calculation results workspace inside the MPMS module and showed how issuers can save and calculate results, change threshold values, and download results for submission.
"Issuers also have access to the ECP calculation results workspace within the Essential Community Providers section, which allows issuers to click a button to generate and view their ECP calculation results at any time," the agency official said. The workspace defaults to the federal ECP threshold but can be adjusted to recalculate any threshold value and will show whether each network/service-area combination meets the requirement.
The presenter also explained that issuers can download calculation results as a CSV file to submit via state filing systems, and that after selecting Save and Complete MPMS will run validations and show any errors or warnings. Issuers were advised to download validation results, correct data, and re-run Save and Complete to clear errors before final submission.
The walkthrough emphasized using the workspace to verify ECP coverage prior to submitting the Plan Attributes group for CMS review.
