Southgate council adopts invasive-species ordinance after resident seeks clarity

City Attorney Stewart presented the ordinance details during the second-reading discussion and answered questions from council members before the vote. The ordinance language and enforcement provisions will be codified into Chapter 90 as described in the council packet.
The council did not record any amendments to the measure at the meeting. The ordinance was adopted on second reading and will be implemented according to the code update process.
