A resident who identified himself as John Beatsch spoke during public comment about multiple maintenance and programming needs at the Community Center.
Beatsch said "the parking lot needs resurfacing" and that "the walking trails had not been restored properly after SD-1’s work," adding that weeds were growing and suggesting more events and amenities and a port-a-let near the picnic shelter. Mayor James Hamberg responded that the city would research options for the parking lot and explained that "SD-1 put clay not topsoil down which is why no grass will grow." He asked Mr. Beatsch to explore event ideas and to bring them to Council Member Okura for follow-up.
Council Member Okura also noted events on the calendar. The city did not take action at the meeting beyond directing staff and the mayor to research potential repairs and amenities.
