Commission readies Sustainability Corridor at farmers market with local partners on Sept. 18

Commissioner Barbara (speaker5) outlined plans for a Sustainability Corridor booth at the Benicia Main Street Farmers Market on Sept. 18, listing partner organizations and promotional materials. "So this year, on the 18th, we will have, quite a few different partners, sustainable partners, sustainability partners," she said as commissioners confirmed logistics and asked for volunteers to staff the booth during the 4–7 p.m. event.
The commission expects to deploy six booths, sandwich‑board signage and partners including Republic Services, Benicia Litter Pickers, MCE and BCAMP; commissioners agreed to take photos and prepare a short PowerPoint to present the farmers‑market outreach to City Council at a future meeting.
