Resident urges ordinance change after bamboo spreads from neighbor's lot

Fire Chief Beatsch told council that the house on Center St. with bamboo presents a safety concern: "the house on Center St. with bamboo is a fire hazard because the door and windows are obstructed with bamboo." Code Enforcement figures reported elsewhere in the meeting show multiple open and abated cases, and council directed staff follow-up rather than immediate enforcement action tonight.
