Neighbors urge action over noise, trash and parking at 315 Linden tied to Theta Chi

Mr. Gray, a resident of 248 Linden, told the City Council on May 6 that activity at 315 Linden Ave. tied to the Theta Chi fraternity has become a neighborhood nuisance. "It is bothering the neighbors with noise, trash, and parking issues," he said, asking the council to take steps to address ongoing problems.
Police Sgt. Johns said the department had not received phone complaints: "no one is calling the police to report any problems." Mayor James Hamberg urged neighbors to place calls so incidents can be logged and investigated. Council members said Code Enforcement Officer Berkley has notified the landlord, and the city has reached out to NKU Student Affairs and the Theta Chi fraternity. Council also indicated it will consider amending the nuisance ordinance to help resolve similar complaints in the future.
