Validate the crosswalk, finalize to XML, and submit with your QHP application
Summary
Issuers must validate the Plan ID Crosswalk Template until all errors are resolved, then click Finalize to create an XML extract that will be submitted with the QHP Application; do not rename the XML file before submission.
After completing the template, issuers must validate it within the template's Actions section. "Once the template is valid, click the Finalize button to create an XML that will be automatically saved in the same folder as the template," the Presenter instructs, and warns issuers not to change the XML filename before submitting it to CMS.
The XML extract produced by Finalize is the file to submit as part of the QHP Application. The guidance explains an iterative validate-and-correct workflow: use the Validate button, correct displayed data issues, and repeat until validation passes before finalizing and submitting the XML file.
