Issuers are instructed to complete the Plans and Benefits Template and the Service Area Template before beginning the Plan ID Crosswalk Template. "Before filling out the Plan ID Crosswalk Template, you'll need to complete the Plans and Benefits Template and the Service Area Template," the Presenter states, and reminds issuers to have completed prior-year versions available for import.
The Presenter also strongly encourages returning issuers and issuers receiving plans from a discontinuing issuer to use the prepopulated template generated in the MPMS module of HIOS, which imports prior-year plan IDs, service areas, and network IDs to reduce manual entry.
