At the July 21 meeting the council approved a package of consent items that included several special-event permits for fall and winter: Milan High School's Homecoming Parade on Sept. 25 (3:00–7:00 p.m.), Scarecrows on Main presented by the Milan Area Historical Society (Oct. 1–Nov. 6), Downtown Trick or Treat presented by the Milan Area Chamber (Oct. 30, 5:30–7:00 p.m.), and the Holiday Parade presented by the Milan DDA (Dec. 5, 6:00–7:00 p.m.). The Building Department and Code Enforcement reports for June 2026 and Milan Beautification Commission minutes were also received as consent items.
Councilmember Stafford moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Snyder seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The approvals clear the way for organizers to finalize logistics, submit any required follow-up permitting paperwork, and coordinate with city departments for safety and traffic measures.
