Commissioners discuss wells, drought impacts and mapping town water service

Horace Duke said an older private well near the high school remains potable but could require hookup if it fails due to contamination; Sam Lash offered to request a town water map to show service extents.
David Traczyk described parts of the town water distribution routing (a branch to the high school, lines down Construction Hill and up Graniteville Road) and Rich Turner said he would like a map of the sewage-treatment plant as well. Lash suggested checking office records (Allen Chouinard checks on the Rood Pond Road water system) and pursuing a digital map if available to inform plan updates and responses to drought-related needs.
