Rosario Gonzales, who identified herself as the next-door neighbor, told the Building and Standards committee she has repeatedly reported the property's condition since 2023 and that the recurring mess caused ongoing stress. "I was very stressed out because I would look out the window to see where he was and what they were doing," Gonzales said, explaining she took and sent photos to staff and had tried to help by cutting grass herself.
Gonzales said city crews removed debris multiple times but the problem returned; she and others asked staff to pursue stronger remedies. Commissioners thanked her for reporting the issues and asked staff to include neighbors' evidence and communications with the city attorney in the follow-up report scheduled for September 9.
