The Rolla City Council, convened as the Board of Equalization, reviewed four omitted-property filings April 15 that would add a combined $269,800 in proposed valuation increases to the 2026 tax rolls. Rolette County Tax Director Wendy Belgarde and Rolla City Assessor Rebecca Albert presented the filings for Matthew and Marian Peterson ($15,000), Brad Disrud ($11,500), Booth Inc. ($14,100) and Tyler Bergsrud ($229,200).
Councilmember Paul Frydenlund moved to recess the board until assessment notices could be sent to the property owners and to give them two weeks to come in and discuss the proposed assessments; Councilmember Damond Schemmel seconded the motion. The city reported the True and Full Valuation before adding the proposed assessments as $61,861,971. On a roll-call vote the motion carried unanimously, with all members voting “AYE.”
