The South Ogden City Council approved Ordinance 25-08 on June 17 to set compensation for executive municipal officers for fiscal year 2026. Assistant City Manager Summer Palmer explained why the ordinance was required and provided corrected pay figures in an updated spreadsheet supplied to councilors the previous day. City Manager Matt Dixon also commented during discussion.
Council Member Jeremy Howe moved to approve the ordinance using the updated spreadsheet; Council Member Mike Howard seconded. Council Member Susan Stewart said she would like to accelerate pay for lower-paid positions while slowing increases for higher-paid positions; after discussion the council approved the ordinance by roll-call with Stewart voting no and the other present members voting yes.
